Dr. Cristina Sherer
Dr. Sherer became the owner of Powell Veterinary Clinic in 2019, after joining the office in 2005. She earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science at The Ohio State University, then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The Ohio State Veterinary College in 2001. Dr. Sherer has a special interest in exotic mammalian – “pocket pets” – medicine, which came about from breeding and showing rabbits in her past. She has a small farm where she raises chickens and has horses, llamas, a dog, cats and a saltwater-reef fish tank. In short, she has her own personal zoo. Her farm also is an Ohio Conservation Reserve Program prairie preserve site for wildlife. Dr. Sherer also enjoys scuba diving and gardening.

Dr. Sweinhart has a special interest in veterinary dentistry, and she supervised the acquisition of our first dental X-ray system. Outside of the clinic – Does a world exist outside of the clinic? – Dr. Sweinhart has two daughters and an amazing collection of LEGO toys.
Support Staff (Photos coming soon!)
Our registered veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants treat your pets like their pets. The support-staff members work with the doctors in the exam room, in surgery, in treatment, at the reception desk and in the wards. You’ll even see them outside planting flowers or feeding our bluebirds!
