Dr. Cristina Sherer

Dr. Sherer became the practice owner of Powell Veterinary Clinic in 2019, after joining the office in 2005. She earned her bachelor’s degree in animal science at The Ohio State University, then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at The Ohio State Veterinary College in 2001. Dr. Sherer has a special interest in exotic mammalian – “pocket pets” – medicine, which came about from breeding and showing rabbits in her past. She has a small farm where she raises chickens and has horses, llamas, cats and a saltwater-reef fish tank. In short, she has her own personal zoo. Her farm also is an Ohio Conservation Reserve Program prairie preserve site for wildlife. Dr. Sherer enjoys scuba diving and gardening.

Dr. Jennifer Sweinhart

Dr. Sweinhart joined the Powell Veterinary Clinic staff in 1997. She graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech), and then Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Dr. Sweinhart has a special interest in veterinary dentistry, and she supervised the acquisition of our first dental X-ray system. Outside of the clinic – Does a world exist outside of the clinic? – Dr. Sweinhart has two daughters and an amazing collection of LEGO toys.

Dr. Sari Eisen

Dr. Sari Eisen joined the Powell Veterinary Clinic team in 2025. Originally from a suburb just north of Chicago, she brings her radiant smile and positive energy to all of her patients and clients. Dr. Eisen was introduced to the Buckeye culture when she earned Bachelor’s degree in animal sciences at The Ohio State University! She went on to study Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, achieving a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She always had a love for animals since she was little. Dr. Eisen was drawn to the ability to give back to the world by helping a family keep their beloved fur babies as happy and healthy as possible. When she is not loving on her own rescue pooch Feta, a sweet “coconut retriever” from St. Kitts Island, she enjoys exploring new foods around the Columbus Area. She stays active outside of work by skiing, playing soccer and going to concerts. In her own words, “I would like to think that I am a bright part of the day. I am potentially too in love with everyone else’s animals. However, this means I will love them almost like my own.”
