Pet Patrol: Protect Your Pets from Antifreeze

Although manufacturers have voluntarily added a bittering agent to antifreeze since 2012, some pets may still be attracted by the smell or taste. Most antifreeze contains ethylene glycol, a deadly poison. It takes only a small amount to be dangerous to your pet.

After ingesting antifreeze, symptoms may include lethargy, grogginess, stumbling, increased drinking and vomiting. It also could lead to severe kidney damage and even death. If you suspect your pet might have ingested antifreeze, call us immediately, at 614-436-9922!
